Originally from northern New Mexico, Rachel’s artistic journey has taken her from Marin County to Iceland, painting breathtaking scenery along the way. She made Boise her home in 2008, bringing her passion for landscape painting to Idaho.
Rachel is known for her bold, expressive brushstrokes that capture the emotional essence of the landscapes she paints. Her signature “tinyExpanse” daily paintings offer small yet impactful glimpses of nature, while her large-scale works immerse viewers in Idaho’s stunning scenery.
Beyond her artistic achievements, Rachel collaborates with conservation organizations, supporting efforts to protect the lands she loves to paint. She helped establish the Idaho Conservation League’s Artist in Residence program and partnered with Advocates for the West on projects promoting environmental preservation.
Her work is represented by Capitol Contemporary Art in Boise and Echo Arts in Bozeman, and has been featured by Pottery Barn, Serena & Lily, and One King’s Lane. Public and private collectors across the U.S. have commissioned her art, including the City of Boise, the City of Ketchum, and Sun Valley Resort.
